Louis John Menges was an American amateur football player who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics. He was born in East St. Louis Illinois. In 1904 he was a member of the Christian Brothers College team which won the silver medal in the football tournament. He played all four matches as a goalkeeper. He served in the U. S. Army during World War I and was member of Illinois State Senate from 1935 till 1943. He was owner and builder of movie theaters.
